21 June 2040
We created The La Punt Post – a fictional newspaper dated June 21, 2040 – as a tangible artifact of the future. Its pages offered a glimpse of what might lie ahead, with positive and plausible headlines like “Insect Farming Takes Flight in La Punt,” “EU Grants Legal Status to Nature,” and “Sun Polo, the New Snow Polo?”
The project emerged from a foresight exercise that combined weak signal mapping with climate scenarios to imagine how daily life could evolve in the coming decades. It was a true collective effort: students from the Lyceum Alpinum Zuoz wrote the articles and produced accompanying AI-generated illustrations, while our [y]our 2040 team and partners contributed imaginative advertisements for future services and products.
The outcome was more than a creative prototype. It became an immersive tool for sparking imagination, expanding perspectives, and inviting people to experience the future in a familiar, everyday format; a newspaper from tomorrow.
