Theme
[Y]our 2040’s 2026 annual gathering theme is Beyond the Visible, and we mean it literally. The forces shaping the next century are already at work. They move through mycelial networks beneath our feet, through atmospheric currents above our cities, through infrastructural flows we built but rarely see, and through the physiology and memory that quietly shape every human decision. They are invisible to the eye and undeniable in their consequence.
This year we will begin to look at them together.
Our focus is resonance, not echo. Most events gather people who are very similar and already thinking alike. We purposefully gather people who are not. We like it when a farmer sits with a venture capitalist, a monk next to a tech executive, a scientist next to an artist, young adults alongside elders. We know participants like this as well. The mix, the diversity, the collaboration, this is the point.
We are living through a very special time on this Earth, this time requires collaboration and courage. We are calling this group the Transformers as you will come together with others who want, and have, the ability to transform things together.
If you join us in 2026 you will have the first opportunity to join us in 2027, we will curate ongoing engagement opportunities, and you will get one-on-one time with speakers and an amazing group.
[y]our 2040 is truly unlike any gathering, event or conference you have been to! We curate every moment of our time together to give YOU a unique and thoughtful experience.
Designed from the first moment to the last. Every element is chosen with intention: the people in the room, the questions on the table, the spaces we inhabit together.
What you will find here is rare, deep and genuine. Foresight will become personal.
This includes:
What. So What. Now What.
This is the overarching arc we use to design and curate all the experiences for the group and how the program will unfold during our time together.
Thursday – Check in, Apero, Welcome, Opening Circle, Michelin fine dining experience.
Friday (What + So What) – After deep conversations with our five cross-disciplinary speakers, they will lead two-hour workshops to move from observation to implication. Each with a unique angle on future implications. We gather again for an Apero and to hear a very special concert in Chesa Merleda before moving on to Jeffersonian dinners across La Punt restaurants. Each of these small-format gatherings, with five to eight people per table, will be hosted and involve one conversation with one question worth sitting with. Late night drinks at the Krone.
Saturday (Now What) – Now it is time to reflect on what all of this means for you. This is designed as a quieter, guided reflective phase. Bringing in foresight techniques, mindfulness practices, walks in nature and a final BBQ. Optional activities will be available after lunch and Sunday.
We always incorporate music and movment. This year we will have specially commissioned pieces from Kiron Atom Tellian, who will present a world premiere on Friday evening. And rousing morning moments with Natascha.
Additionally, music will be woven throughout, along with time spent in nature and other optional activities to remind us that some of what shapes us doesn’t pass through words, but through other mediums.
Five voices. One question. Countless forces waiting to be revealed.
Each speaker brings a distinct lens on the invisible forces shaping our world.
Each will be in a dialogue and host a two-hour workshop, moving us from observation to implication, and from insight to action.
These are deep conversation carefully choreographed across disciplines,
perspectives and possibilities.
