Three start-ups came together to create something truly original. Insect cutlery. Essento is in the business of creating deliscious insect protein foods for human consumption; Kitro focuses on reducing food waste with the support of AI and Machine Learning; and Fluid solids makes bio-plastics in a wide variety of forms. Together they used each of their strengths to develop the world’s first bio-based insect cutlery. This cutlery is made from insect shells and the bits that are not able to be consumed by other purposes. It combines eco-friendliness with practicality, offering a unique and planet-friendly alternative to traditional utensils.
